The Datto device performs automatic backups of the server storing that data on the unit. The unit also then sends a copy of the backed up data into a secure cloud storage area as an additional backup.
If an issue occurs, we can simply restore your data to the last back up on the unit. -IF- there were to be an issue with the data on the unit we can instead restore from the cloud backup giving stronger protection for your data.
